May 29th: Tech and Innovation Finals Night
June 5th: Life Sciences Finals Night Presented by the John G. Watson Foundation
Our Contestants are judged by the following criteria, so keep these in mind as you develop your idea
- Feasibility/fundability of this business. Could the young entrepreneur reasonably start this business given the right support? Would you give your money to this entrepreneur to start this business?
- Coach-ability. The most important determinant of a start-ups success is the team. Is the team cohesive? Do they have the skill-sets needed to persevere? Do they have past experience with one another and work well together? Most of all, do they take coaching well and learn quickly by listening and trying quick test trials for what they do?
- Entrepreneurial Spirit. Knowing that passion and perseverance are a key to success for an entrepreneur, how passionate is this student about their idea?
- Innovation. Knowing that entrepreneurs are innovators and a creator, how unique is the business idea? Is this an innovative business?
